(Sorry guys, this kind of turned into an essay. If only I could put this much work into my classes.)
Yes top 6, not top 5, not top 10. 6 is a cool number okay, so stop judging. Anyway, on to it – The Bromance. I’m not a huge fan of the word itself, but it does the job. Bromances however, I am a huge fan of.
Definitions found on Urban Dictionary explain it all:
Bromance: Describes the complicated love and affection shared by two straight males.
Bromance: A non-sexual relationship between two men who are unusually close.
So what was my criteria for these six bromances? Well, I was biased and mostly favoured shows that I actually watch – yes, I did put Gossip Girl on the list (even though its been a huge disappointment lately and probably doesn’t deserve it). Other than that, bromances that translate into real life between actors scored bonus points, as did bromances with major chemistry or a history of ups and downs. See? Very scientific.
#6 Sam & Dean / Supernatural

There’s not much I can say about these two, namely because I don’t watch Supernatural, but come on, this is the bromance of bromances. They’re actually brothers for one thing. For another, they hunt down demons and save people from you know, paranormal stuff. TOGETHER. The chemistry is there, the complicated love and affection is there. I mean, are there even any women on this show? Not as far as I can tell, having only ever watched one episode, so there you have it.
#5 Don & Roger / Mad Men

So speaking of love-hate relationships… Don and Roger’s tumultuous relationship lately has almost paralleled Don and Betty’s, at least Don isn’t cheating on Roger though. With Don’s cold stare and Roger’s witty remarks, these two complete each other, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Not to mention that Jon Hamm And John Slattery practically ooze sex when they’re on screen… not that that’s part of my criteria or anything…
#4 Chuck & Nate / Gossip Girl

So as of season 3, we’ve barely seen Chuck and Nate spending any time together (except for a recent lost weekend), but I blame the producers/writers for that completely and like to think that they are in fact, spending a lot of time together off screen. To quote Chuck Bass, “Look Nathaniel, there are three things I care about in this world: money, the pleasure money brings, and you.” Of course, a girl did come between them at one point, she always does, but eventually the two made up and we couldn’t be happier. Added bonus, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford are bff’s and roomies in real life. So I think this spot at #4 is very well deserved.
#3 McDreamy & McSteamy / Grey’s Anatomy

The two hottest doctors at Seattle Grace are also best friends, and have been for a long time – there were those years when they didn’t speak after Mark kind of slept with Derek’s wife at the time, Addison, but hey, that’s all behind them now! And bonus points – they’ve both moved on with their own Grey – Meredith and “Little” Grey, what was her name again? As for who I’d pick out of the two, if I could pick, that would be McSteamy – oh what? That’s not what this list is about? Never mind.
#2 Cappie & Evan / Greek

I know what you’re thinking, Cappie and Evan?? #2? Yes, Cappie and Evan! I enjoyed Cappie and Evan getting back together more this season than I did Cappie and Casey getting back together. I love their banter and their chemistry, they are a true bromance. And who didn’t love seeing the two of them having to sneak around to meet each other? It’s a shame Evan had to ruin everything again over the finale, but here’s to the two of them working it out next season!
#1 House & Wilson / House

Drumroll please… the #1 bromance on TV, as determined by yours truly is… House and Wilson! I don’t even watch House anymore, the story lines have become too repetitive and the new doctors are annoying (not that the old team was much better), but whenever I do go back and watch, it’s for these two! (okay… or for Cuddy). There’s is a classic relationship. It comes complete with communication problems, verbal abuse, and torture – all mostly due to House. Why Wilson keeps giving in, we may never know, but either way, it makes for a great bromance.
So… there it is, another one of my long lists. But hey, I included lots of pictures! If you made it this far, kudos. Maybe one day, you’ll be lucky enough to be part of a bromance half as awesome as one of these six, or at least date half a bromance that’s half as awesome… you get my point.

Nice post !
You know that the old team is back on House, right? Just sayin’ …
Thanks! And haha, yes, I have noticed, I’ve kind of kept up with the storyline. I LOVED the premiere, it was an amazing episode, but then it was the same old again and I don’t know, for some reason I just can’t get into it. Trust me, I want to, it just isn’t happening =( Maybe I just need more drama.
Excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed this list. Mostly because I second it, although I have no idea how you determined who gets what rank. Strangely, Cappie & Eva Longoria got me the most excited, lol. And OMG, you know, if it came down to McDreamy and McSteamy, omggg…it’s like Sophie’s Choice…I think I’d do McDreamy…I mean that luxurious hair calls my name. And he’s…”a nice guy”. Ahhh House & Wilson…they ARE special and awesome. 2 doctor bromances on here is amazing, I think that’s a sign to a good relationship. :D
Haha, ya, the criteria was pretty pointless in the end and I just numbered them based on who I liked together the most… Cappie and Evan were almost #1, there’s just something about those two lol. I was going to mention all of Cappie’s nicknames for Evan! Sophie’s choice is the best way to describe it, although McDreamy just isn’t winning me over as much as McSteamy is lately.
Woot! House is number one. I love that, and it’s absolutely true too.
I love the new House episodes. A lot of the ‘newer’ people have left so it’s back to the original cast, I do believe. You outta give it another try!
Ya, I did notice, but it just wasn’t doing it for me =( I guess its just not my thing!
